Everything is mastered, meticulously crafted and skilfully paced, the prerequisite for offering the eye - and the mind behind it - the possibility of escape. So it's hardly surprising that the Hungarian director was awarded the Palme d'Or for Best Short Film at Cannes in 2023 for her sublime film 27.
